Terms of Use

Terms for using SlideSieve.

Last updated: June 2026

By installing the SlideSieve Chrome extension or using the SlideSieve website, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the extension or website.

1. What SlideSieve is

SlideSieve is a slide extraction tool that runs as a Chrome extension. It lets you capture and export presentation slides directly from educational videos in your browser. All image processing happens locally in your browser — your slides and videos are never sent to our servers.

2. Accounts and access

You can currently use SlideSieve without an account. All data and processing occur locally on your device.

3. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SlideSieve for personal or business slide extraction, subject to these terms. This license does not include the right to sublicense, resell, or redistribute any part of the service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use SlideSieve to create or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the extension or website
  • Interfere with the integrity or performance of the service
  • Use the tool to infringe on the copyright or intellectual property of third parties

5. Content ownership and copyright

You retain full ownership of the PDFs and files you create using SlideSieve. However, SlideSieve is designed to extract slides from videos hosted on third-party platforms. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights or permissions necessary to extract, use, and distribute any content from these platforms. We do not claim any rights over your content and are not liable for copyright infringement resulting from your use of the tool.

6. Intellectual property

The SlideSieve name, logo, interface design, and underlying code are owned by their respective creators and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding without prior written permission.

7. Availability

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific uptime, or the continued availability of any particular feature.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

SlideSieve is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use SlideSieve. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SlideSieve after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
