Yes. Click the Manual Capture button on the floating toolbar, or use Ctrl + Shift + 9 (Control + Shift + 9 on Mac) to instantly save the current frame. If auto-detection skips a frame you need, you can also use the Slide Detection Zone: draw a rectangle over the slide area to tell SlideSieve exactly where slides appear. This is the cleanest fix for courses with a persistent instructor webcam overlay or a split-screen layout.

Auto-Capture automatically pauses if you switch to another tab or minimize the window, as browsers restrict background video analysis. Keep the course tab active for continuous capture. Capture resumes instantly when you return—no slides are lost.

Yes. The Slide Detection Zone is built for this. Many courses use a Picture-in-Picture (PiP) layout: a small instructor camera window floats in the corner of the video, overlaid on the slides. Click the region selector icon on the SlideSieve toolbar, drag to draw a rectangle over the slide area (leaving the instructor's PiP window outside the box), then click Save Region. From that point on, SlideSieve processes only that rectangle. The camera window is outside the boundary and never reaches the detection pipeline. The zone saves per course, so you only set it once.

SlideSieve's interface is fully localised in 15 languages: English, German, French, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), Italian, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Indonesian, Hebrew, and Turkish. Your language is auto-detected when you install the extension and can be changed at any time from the Settings panel.
