Frequently Asked Questions
How does Auto-Capture work?
SlideSieve analyzes images directly in your browser. Click Auto-Capture on the floating toolbar, and it monitors the video player for slide content. It ignores the instructor's face and video transitions to capture unique slides.
Why isn't the floating toolbar showing up?
The toolbar appears when you open a supported video course. SlideSieve supports DeepLearning.AI, Coursera, Udemy, and YouTube. If you are on one of these platforms and the toolbar is missing, refresh the page. Check if another extension blocks it.
Does this work for DeepLearning.AI Short Courses?
Yes. DeepLearning.AI does not provide slide downloads for their Short Courses. SlideSieve captures these slides while you watch, saving you from taking manual screenshots and breaking your focus.
How do I export my slides to PDF?
Open the SlideSieve side panel via the extension icon or the floating toolbar layout toggle. Review your captured slides, click the orange "Export" button at the bottom, and SlideSieve generates a PDF.
Is my data sent to the cloud?
No. All image analysis, slide detection, and PDF generation happens locally inside your browser. Your captured slides stay in your local browser storage.
What are the limitations of the Free tier?
You receive a free budget of 150 total slide captures, which you can use across any number of courses and lessons, including PDF exports. Once you reach 150 slides, SlideSieve pauses capturing. Upgrade to a Lifetime Pro license to remove all limits.
