How does Auto-Capture work?
SlideSieve uses intelligent image analysis running entirely inside your browser. Once you start Auto-Capture from the floating toolbar, it continuously monitors the video player for slide content. It automatically ignores the instructor's face and video transitions, capturing only pristine, unique slides.
Why isn't the floating toolbar showing up?
The toolbar automatically appears when a supported video course is detected. Currently, SlideSieve is heavily optimized for major learning platforms. If you're on a supported platform and it's not appearing, try refreshing the page or checking if another extension is blocking it.
How do I export my slides to PDF?
Open the SlideSieve side panel by clicking the extension icon or using the layout toggle on the floating toolbar. Review your captured slides, click the orange "Export" button at the bottom of the panel, and your slides will be instantly compiled into a high-quality PDF.
Is my data sent to the cloud?
No. All image analysis, slide detection, and PDF generation happens locally right inside your browser. Your captured slides are securely stored in your local browser storage.
What are the limitations of the Free tier?
You get 3 free lessons to try out the extension with a generous limit of 50 slides each, and PDF exports are included for these lessons. After you've used your 3 free lessons, you will be limited to capturing 10 slides per video, and PDF exports will be locked until you upgrade to a Lifetime Pro license.
