SlideSieve is a slide extraction tool built for learners, researchers, and professionals. We collect only the absolute minimum data required to operate the product and support users. We never sell your personal data — ever.

Who we are

What data we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to provide our service:

• Contact Information (Optional) — your email address, only if you voluntarily provide it when submitting feedback or contacting support.
• Usage Analytics (Optional) — anonymous product analytics (features used, videos processed) to help us improve. No personally identifying information is collected.
• Error Reports — anonymized error logs to help diagnose and fix issues. These do not contain personal information or video content.

Videos and slides

Your videos and extracted slides are processed entirely in your browser via the SlideSieve Chrome extension. Videos you process and slides you generate are never sent to our servers. SlideSieve does not store, transmit, or have access to the content of your videos or slides.

How we use your data

• To improve the product using aggregated, anonymous usage analytics
• To diagnose and fix technical issues and bugs
• To respond to support requests you send us

Where your data is stored

Since SlideSieve operates entirely locally, your extracted slides are stored locally on your device within your browser's IndexedDB storage. You have full control over this data. Any anonymous analytics are stored securely by our analytics providers.

Data retention

• Local slide data — retained in your browser until you clear your extension data or uninstall the extension.
• Analytics data — retained in aggregate, anonymous form.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for core functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal data to third parties
• We never access or store the content of your videos or slides
• We never use your data for advertising or profiling

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of SlideSieve after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
